On May 26th, 2024, the team from Bennett & Associates Psychotherapy took part in the Shoppers Drug Mart "Run for Women's Mental Health" benefitting mental health programs at Markham-Stouffville Hospital. As a practice that aims to advocate for mental health within the community, this run was one way to raise money and awareness.
"As a psychotherapist who practices within the community of Markham, York Region, I wanted to participate in an event within my community. In addition, women's mental health is a cause that is deeply personal to me as many women do not put themselves first, and their mental health suffers as a result", Lisa Bennett, Clinical Director.
While this might be the first year the team raised funds and participated in the walk, it will certainly not be the last and we hope many others will join us in subsequent walks.
